Civil Rights Events

the Brown v. Board of Education was the event that ended school segregation in the south.
Sparked by the arrest of Rosa Parks, this boycott lasted 13 months and ended up integrating public transportation systems.
Segregated schools taken to court for breaking the constitution and was integrated

Sit ins and freedom rides were where civil rights activists showed their opinions on controversial civil rights topics.



March on Washington where Martin Luther King Jr. gave his famous "I have a Dream" speech
